Why I'm Having a T-Shirt Made

You know, when I was babysitting at ages 15-21 and was out with the baby, I always got smiles and nods from strangers as if to say,"How sweet, a baby and his babysitter out for a walk." (Well, that or a baby and his underage mother, either one.)
But now, as a 31 year old pushing around a baby in a stroller, the smiles I get are more of the mom-and-her-baby-out-for-a-walk variety. This would not be a problem except that I am single and scouting. Not so cute with the stroller anymore, my friends.
So, this summer, since I anticipate many hours at the helm of the stroller, and many miles logged in the city accompanying the under-one-year-old set, I'm taking matters into my own hands. I'm getting a t-shirt made that says...

"I'M NOT THE MOM!"

I love it, too!

I have a 13 year old nephew and 8 year old niece and my own daughter, who is almost 2. Twice a week I watch my niece and nephew and we go places and do things. I get the most amazing looks of sympathy, like "Oh, poor woman with three kids - two older and then a baby!" I want a t-shirt that says "They're not all mine".
